Met hun nieuwe album ‘Emilia D’Hercole’ brengt het Italiaanse kwartet Collettivo Decanter een ode aan de zee en aan het eiland Elba, waar de groep in 2017 verbleef nadat zij een reis won naar Rio Marina, een havenplaats in het westen van Elba. Het resultaat is dit adembenemend mooie album.

Het Collettivo Decanter startte in Turijn met pianiste Marta Caldara, gitarist Marco Perona en zangeres Alessia Galeotti en werd later aangevuld met (riet)blazer Vincent Boniface. De tradities en de muziek van Elba inspireerde de groep tot hun nieuwe album ‘Emilia D’Hercole’. Zoals het prachtige ‘Malopescio’ waar de CD mee opent. Een mooie melodie over de lokale visser die naar zwavel ruikt en in Capoliveri woont, het ‘dorp van heksen en tovenaars’. Collettivo Decanter honors the sea and the island of Elba on their new album ‘Emilia D’Hercole’. In 2017 this Italian quartet stayed on this island after winning a trip to Rio Marina, a port town in the west of Elba.
